About Annapurna Grill
Authentic South Indian Cusine
Serving only Halal

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Pasadena, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. Typical hours are 11:30 amβ2:30 pm. It is closed on Monday. Pasadena is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Traffic in Pasadena peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Annapurna Grill is really a good place to go for vegetarian and non-vegetarian Indian meals. As a non-Indian, the food was above and beyond. I had the Annapurna Goat Curry with the basmati rice that comes with it. The Mango Lassi was thick, creamy, and delicious. The Goat Curry was flavorful, aromatic, and went very well with the rice. It was my first time trying it, and Iβd say it was a 10/10 meal which I would definitely try again. My only concern was the time it took to get the food ready, because we order as a group and it took sometime to get the food to us. The owner was kind, and courteous to explain that some chefs were not around and hence the delay. PS: I have added images of the menu for anyone who would like to view the menu before getting there.
